A 6-week adult class in directing exploring what it takes to be a director in the theatre. Six weeks of “tips”- lectures and demonstrations from a veteran professional, lively discussions and hands-on sessions with live actors allow the participants to examine the directing process from play selection, play analysis, creating a concept, ground plan, auditioning and casting through the rehearsal process and performance. Open to all levels of experience from totally without experience to professionals aged 18 and up. Classes will meet on Wednesdays, July 17-August 21, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The instructor is Dr. Jack Wann, AEA, SAG-AFTRA. The cost is $150 per student. Space is limited.
