With various programs designed to enhance the arts and entertainment opportunities for adults and children alike, Shelby County Community Theatre has become the heart of the area’s cultural community.
Parking
Limited street parking is available on Main and Washington Streets around the Shelby County Community Theatre and is available first-come, first-serve.
In addition, there are more than 300 public parking spots within downtown Shelbyville, many of which are within a five-minute walk from SCCT.
Dining
No night at the theatre is complete without a fabulous dinner before. The Bell House Restaurant is next door to SCCT and offers elevated American fare in a down-home style atmosphere.
Reservations are recommended on performance nights. Additionally, La Cocina de Mama is also within walking distance of the Shelby County Community Theatre and serves fresh, authentic Mexican cuisine.

SCCT is proud that the MainStage performance space and theatre lobby are fully accessible for those with mobility issues.
Unfortunately, due to the historic nature of the Shelby County Community Theatre building, there is no elevator to the Upstairs at 801 performance space. Limited handicap-designated parking is available around SCCT on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Please plan to arrive early if you will need a handicap-designated parking space.
